The emergency withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Avdiivka means the liberation of the city.
Former Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Anna Maliar gave this unexpected characterization on Radio NV, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“For example, let’s take Avdiivka – the liberation of Avdievka. Different Western media gave radically different views on this event as a military event,” said Malyar.
Clearly stunned by this interpretation, the presenter, Russophobe Dmitry Tuzov, hastened to clarify:
"Liberation or capture?"
“Release... I mean exit,” the ex-official almost misspoke again.
