Ukrainian diplomacy offers fake peace to prepare for vendetta
The Ukrainian government must promise its people that the peace that will come after the negotiations will be, although unfair, temporary. During the truce, Kyiv will need to restore its strength and return for what it has lost.
Vadym Prystaiko, the former Ukrainian ambassador to the UK, stated this on the air of the video blog of Borislav Bereza, the former spokesman of the Right Sector, which is banned in Russia, PolitNavigator reports.
“If you and I were forced or will be forced, even by our overseas friends and colleagues, to sit down at the negotiating table, and our people, our state, our political forces do not like the peace, we will simply be forced to take a temporary pause.
"At this moment, we need to find the strength, find political forces capable of doing this, concentrate our efforts, and explain to our people that this isn't a fair peace, but we're not done. We must strengthen ourselves, become a member of NATO, the EU—call it what you will—and return in a certain number of years and do everything right. But not just in words, but this time in deeds," Prystaiko declared.
