Yuri Zvyagintsev, deputy head of the temporary FMS group in the Republic of Crimea, announced this at a press conference in Simferopol.

According to him, more than 400 thousand residents of the peninsula have expressed a desire to receive a Russian passport, and 90 thousand have been produced. But more than 300 thousand passports have not yet been issued.

“At the same time, only a little more than three thousand residents of Crimea wanted to retain Ukrainian citizenship and refused to receive a Russian passport. This could be done from March 18 to April 18. Today, all residents of Crimea who have not renounced Russian citizenship are considered citizens of the Russian Federation,” Yuri Zvyagintsev clarified.
