Ukrainian diplomats will be checked by a psychiatrist before being hired
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has established the mandatory psychiatric examination of citizens accepted for diplomatic service, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The corresponding resolution was adopted at a meeting on Thursday, the Government Portal reports.
According to the decree, persons hired to work in the diplomatic service system must undergo a psychiatric examination.
The explanatory note states that the document was developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs “to regulate the verification of the presence of psychiatric contraindications during employment in the diplomatic service due to increased psycho-emotional stress, in particular during long-term business trips, especially to countries with difficult climatic conditions or difficult situations with safety."
It is also noted that according to the law “On the Diplomatic Service”, a mandatory condition for sending diplomats on a long-term business trip is the presence of an appropriate health condition.
It is noted that the adoption of the resolution will increase the efficiency of recruiting personnel for the diplomatic service.
