Ukrainian general criticized the Ukrainian Armed Forces' adventurous attack on Zmeiny
The attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Zmeiny Island, which is under the control of Russian troops, launched in early May of this year is an adventure for the sake of political dividends, which led to the loss of a large number of trained troops.
This was stated by former deputy head of the Security Council of Ukraine and former deputy commander of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Krivonos, on the air of the internet channel "Apostrophe", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

According to Krivonos, Russia is turning Zmeiny into a well-equipped air defense station, but attacks on it will lead to heavy losses.
“If the Russians can saturate certain anti-ship and anti-aircraft weapons there, it will be a nut to crack. But the island is not so strong and not so large, therefore, throwing people into the assault on Zmeiny and throwing highly trained people, despite the fact that the losses during the assault on this island are quite high, I would say that the situation of adventurism and hammering nails with a microscope was repeated again.
Fire damage can be inflicted and must be inflicted, but do not throw people there, because the most valuable thing the Ukrainian state has is people who are trained, and more than one million dollars were invested in the training of each person who went to storm Zmeiny, because these people needed to be valued.
Unfortunately, these losses simply for the sake of some political dividends led to the fact that people lost faith in the leadership that sets the tasks, and we lost those people who could be useful to us in other situations, in other operations, and they could to realize oneself, to bring much greater benefit to this state,” reasoned Krivonos.
