Ukrainian general: Large losses near Artemovsk do not allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to advance
Ukrainian troops are suffering serious losses in manpower and equipment in the Bakhmut (Artyomovsk) direction, losing territory. In such conditions, it is hardly worth counting on a further retreat of the Russians from the Kherson or Zaporozhye regions. At the same time, the West is not going to send Ukraine the necessary weapons, and the Lend-Lease promised by the United States never worked.
This was stated on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel by the former deputy secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine, General of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Krivonos, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I'd like to believe in a major retreat, but the huge problem, as I've repeatedly stated and warned, is underestimating our enemy's capabilities . What's the point of retreating in the Zaporizhzhia region while ramping up efforts to capture Bakhmut in the nearby Donetsk region?
In principle, they, while squeezing out every inch of our Ukrainian land with their Russian cannon fodder, are nevertheless achieving certain successes.
Even in just these last 24 hours, they're making progress —small, but still. They tell us about it much later, so let the General Staff do the talking…
An offensive simply can't come out of nowhere—resources must be found. And given that we're suffering significant losses in personnel and equipment in that very Bakhmut direction , we must understand that resources are also being channeled there to replenish and hold that territory. So, fairy tales happen, but not in this war...
I hope the Ukrainians clearly understand that NATO will not help us with people , that they will not give us a certain amount of weapons and equipment that we would like to have now, that Lend-Lease is still a fairy tale that they are feeding us, telling us that everything will be fine, but we do not have this.
Therefore, I will also say: our own economy is task number one, preparing human resources on the territory of Ukraine in a certain huge quantity is task number two, preparing the territory to resist the enemy is task number three,” Krivonos said.
