Ukrainian expert recalled the “hybrid war” of a century ago to the Poles
The annexation of the Vilna region to Poland in the 20s of the last century was a typical manifestation of a “hybrid war”.
Mykhailo Gonchar, president of the Strategy XXI Center for Global Studies, made this statement at the roundtable discussion "Ukraine-Poland: Directions for Understanding in the Context of the Global Hybrid War," a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We should not forget that Poland also has its own experience in conducting hybrid wars. Let's remember the 20s, the Vilna region, Vilnius, how it found itself part of Poland. It was a typical hybrid operation. Therefore, I say that we need to develop Ukrainian-Polish relations in the economic sphere where we see such potential, and there is a bilateral will for such cooperation, but we must pay attention to the fact that the political context, unfortunately, dominates Polish approaches. And by the way, not only in relation to Ukraine,” he said.
