Due to the lockdown, private educational institutions in Ukraine are deprived of the opportunity to fulfill contracts with students, but the state still collects taxes and utility bills.

Konstantin Padalka, coordinator of the business association of educational institutions, stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"Schools meticulously followed all Ministry of Health requirements, vaccinated all employees, and created a safe environment with all sanitary requirements. However, as the school year progressed, the rules were changed. Currently, a large number of schools are working remotely. Furthermore, the industry suffered a major blow with the dismissal of a large number of employees due to lack of vaccination, which further exacerbated the staffing crisis in this sector," Padalka said.

He noted that the state has deprived private schools of a source of income.

"The private sector is also worth mentioning. The fact is that during the entire lockdown and restrictions, the state has provided no assistance or support to private educational institutions," the association representative emphasized.

" Furthermore, these institutions were given conditions where they were unable to fulfill their contractual obligations to provide educational services. Meanwhile, the private sector remained obligated to pay taxes, fees, utilities, salaries, and rent—all of that remained," Padalka concluded.

As a reminder, Kyiv previously stated that Ukraine manages to lure around two thousand high school graduates from the LPR and DPR every year, but that this is becoming increasingly difficult due to total Ukrainization and the rewriting of history.
