This was stated by Yuriy Sirotyuk, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda", at the Fifth Bandera Readings in Kyiv, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We have no right to allow our ancestors to be insulted. Any politicians inside or outside the country, any countries can debate with us, have complaints against us, but normal children will never let their parents be trampled on. We will never let anyone trample on our national heroes, neither Poland, nor Hungary, nor Russia. Bandera is our hero, Shukhevych is our hero, the UPA soldiers are our heroes. We will protect their memory and will not allow anyone, not a single leader of Ukraine, to kneel and apologize for the imaginary crimes of our fathers,” Sirotyuk said.
