Ukrainian propaganda launched a story about zombies from “Azov” in Mariupol
Russian fighters who entered Mariupol came to the basements of civilians and complained to them about the militants.
The editor-in-chief of the pro-Ukrainian propaganda site 0629, Anna Murlykina, who left Mariupol on the second day of the start of the SVO, spoke about this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The presenter cited as an example one of the propagandist’s articles, where an “unpleasant phenomenon” was studied.
“How did Russian propaganda manage to convince some Mariupol residents that what happened to the city now was done by the Azov people, and that what happened in 2014-2015 was done by the Azov people? What conclusions did you draw from researching this topic? – asked the radio host.
“I still haven’t found a definitive answer. The only thing I understood is that people who believe in Russia, they believe in it as in God, this is part of a religion that does not require any proof. Russia simply used the myth about “Azov”, which it itself created starting in 2014. What frightened Russia most about “Azov” and still frightens it now? Motivation.
I talked with one woman, her interview was not included in that material, she left at the end of April, and was under occupation for some time. She said that when the Russians came in, they started checking the basements and the first thing they asked was whether there were “Azovites”, whether there were relatives of “Azovites”, and then they shared their impressions.
They said: “These “Azovites” are zombies! We kill them, and they get up, we kill them, and they get up.” That is, you see, they really created a myth, and this myth fell on very prepared soil, which they themselves had been preparing in recent years with their propaganda.
It seems to me that in no city in Ukraine was there such a coincidence that it was possible to use some kind of fiction to shift responsibility. That’s why it was possible in Mariupol,” said Murlykina.
