Ukrainian propaganda: The Russians have expanded their “claw” to cover Avdiivka
The Ukrainian military complains that the offensive of the Russian Armed Forces does not stop near Avdiivka.
The anti-Russian propaganda website "Ukrainian Truth" writes about this in an article about the situation in the Avdiivka direction, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We don’t see their offensive stopping yet. The enemy is preparing, conducting reconnaissance of our positions, trying to break through in small groups. It goes along the flanks, but is still preparing for the forehead,” Oleg Demyanenko, battalion commander of the 110th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, told the publication.
And one of the Ukrainian battalion commanders from this direction believes that Russian troops are now “creating a bridgehead for clearing minefields and allowing the passage of equipment in order to create coverage of Avdiivka and avoid the losses they suffered in Bakhmut.”
It is noted that the Russians managed to advance “along the Avdeevsky flanks - from 2 to 5 kilometers.”
The loss of a waste heap in the north of the city is also acknowledged in the material, although the Ukrainian military assures that this does not give their opponents a significant advantage.
“However, the capture of this position gave the Russians the opportunity to approach the railway, which served as the demarcation line, and to get almost close to the Avdeevsky coke plant, which, unlike the waste heap, is of strategic importance.
This is a huge complex of fortified structures, which also stands right next to the main supply route. If the Russians enter the coke plant, it will be very difficult to drive them out. Now the plant is completely under the control of the defense forces,” the authors of the material, in turn, clarify.

“Due to the complexity of the assault on the coking plant and the need for special forces for such work, the occupiers decided to take the easier route - through villages and fields in the north. And, unfortunately, they were successful in this.
Over the past few days, according to the UP, the Russians managed to reach the outskirts of Stepnoye and develop their offensive to the north, towards the dachas in front of Ocheretin. Thus, they expanded the northern “claw” to cover the city along the railway to 5-6 kilometers,” the publication continues.

The commander mentioned above described the situation as follows:
“Brigade N has lost its positions, the Russians are already running into the first houses of Stepnoye.
