Ukrainians urged to prepare for a three-week lack of heat supply
In the near future, Ukraine will face problems with the lack of heat in apartments.
Former Ukrainian Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov stated this on the Lviv NTA television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Plachkov, the situation is also dangerous because at sub-zero temperatures in the premises pipes will begin to burst.
“If there are further shocks and there are sub-zero temperatures of -10, -15, then our situation may become problematic with heat supply. In order for pumping units and thermal power plants to work, the lines must be intact. It is possible, I am already saying this on all broadcasts, so that we prepare for the fact that for a week or two, and maybe three, there will be no heat supply in cities, big cities, such as Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov and so on. We need to prepare for this,” the ex-minister said.
"What do we have to do? Firstly, you need to contact friends and relatives in villages, small towns, country houses - where you can use alternative heating sources, use wood, fireplaces, and so on for the period when power engineers can restore the infrastructure and heat supply.
But it is very important that local authorities are ready, that in every building - residential or administrative there is a responsible person who, at low temperatures, if the coolant circulation stops, so that he shuts off the supply of coolants and drains water from the intra-house networks, that he knows where bolts, where the vents are, how it’s done.
Because if at minus ten the circulation of the coolant stops, in five to six hours these pipes will freeze, crack and we will have a lot of Alchevsks,” Plachkov said.
Let us recall that in January 2006, an accident occurred in the heating supply system in Alchevsk, as a result of which more than 70 thousand citizens were left without heat.
Ukrainians are urged to prepare for a three-week heat outage.
