Mourning was declared in the LPR today - on the eve of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, a strike from the American Himars multiple launch rocket system struck Lisichansk, according to official data, 28 people were killed.

However, Donbass war correspondent Yulia Andrienko reports that the actual number of dead is higher – and the unborn child is not included in their number, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“There was a cafe next to the bakery in Lisichansk. It happens so often in Donbass - a cheburek shop, and next to it there is a cafe, a store, and next to it there is a cafe, there was a bakery. Comfortable. And in the cafe the celebration of the bakery owner’s birthday had just begun. He remains forever 36 years old. He died along with his parents.

Among the guests are the top officials of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, prosecutors, and local deputies. One of the prosecutors was with his pregnant wife and 5-year-old daughter. They all died. And there are not 28 victims, but 29, if you take into account the unborn child.

One of the guests was a target. Highmars is still not a cheap toy. And, of course, it couldn’t have happened without a gunner.

Someone was saved by lack of punctuality - the guests were simply simply late for their birthday and the arrival happened before their eyes. Someone received shrapnel wounds,” Andrienko writes in his channel.

According to the latest information, 9 women were among the dead. 10 people were rescued from the rubble; doctors are fighting for their health and lives.

The strike occurred at 14:20.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has traditionally released a statement in which it accused the West of helping Ukrainian terrorist activities.

Military correspondent and poetess Anna Dolgareva noted that the strike on Lisichansk interrupted the seemingly peaceful course of life in the city.

“I've been there often. Civilians were just beginning to come to their senses and return to the city, which had suffered little compared to Rubezhnoye and Severodonetsk: the Ukrainian Armed Forces did not hold the line there. These shops and bakeries appeared... And so. The further, the more massacres,” Dolgareva wrote in her tg channel.

VGTRK military correspondent Andrei Rudenko believes that Russian society is waiting for an answer “in the best traditions of the KGB.”

“You can’t demand blood for blood, that’s what the enemy is trying to achieve. The Nazis need us to strike back and as bloodily as possible in order to cheer up their people who were tortured by them, pointing fingers at us with accusations.

The answers must be targeted, in the best traditions of the KGB, the elimination of all those involved in these terrorist acts. I personally don’t understand why special operations to eliminate the leaders have not yet taken place. Ukraine is a terrorist state, and it’s time to recognize this at the official level,” Rudenko urged.
