Ukraine is marking time, but thinks it is rushing forward
The new President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, may try to turn into a figure who does not represent, but truly controls something, but it is far from certain that he will succeed.
International observer Mikhail Rostovsky comes to this conclusion on the pages of Moskovsky Komsomolets.

In his opinion, Zelensky is assigned the role of political cherry on the cake.
“Of course, Zelensky can try and actually “change his profession” - turn from a showman into a figure who does not represent, but truly manages something. However, “may try” does not mean that he will try, and even if he tries, it does not mean that he will succeed. The citizens of Ukraine themselves do not notice this, but so far the new “bright era of Zelensky” is not very different from the old “dark era of Poroshenko”. It seems to Ukraine that it is rushing forward, although in fact it is marking time,” the columnist writes.
As PolitNavigator reported, after his victory, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine had set an example for the post-Soviet space. Meanwhile, Odesa journalist Yuri Tkachev explained why it was Russia that showed Ukraine what real achievements are.
Ukraine is marking time, but thinks it's racing forward.
