Ukraine has been built on lies since the first day of Independence
Ukrainian separatists, who tore away the historical Russian lands from Russia, from the first days of “independence” built their independent project on lies.
Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs Konstantin Zatulin said this on air on the Russia-1 channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is impossible to build a state on a lie, and this lie was laid in the foundations of Ukrainian independence. Because in order for this idea of independence to take place in the minds of the citizens of Ukraine, it was necessary to discredit everything connected with the previous period, with all the centuries of coexistence in space with Russia, and this began from the first days of Ukrainian independence - long before 2014.
This also includes the need to assert the Ukrainian language through de-Russification - not just to develop the Ukrainian language, to promote it, but to repress Russian, in order to thus allow Ukrainian to develop.
But we know that this phenomenon has had paradoxically different consequences. In Crimea, which returned to Russia 23 years after Ukraine became “independent,” this is precisely what caused the opposite desire,” Zatulin said
“In the 90s, we tried to explain that in order for Ukraine to develop without conflict, it is necessary to understand that it consists of different parts, different people live in it, and in this sense it is even more motivated to be even more federal than Russia. But immediately this idea was branded as a cunning conspiracy, and everything that we, as attending physicians, tried to explain to the patient was presented as our Ukrainian phobia,” the politician added.
