Ukraine decided to repress Crimean journalists
Six employees of the TV and radio company “Crimea” became defendants in a pre-trial investigation by the prosecutor’s office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which does not exist on the political map.
Ukrainian authorities suspect them of war propaganda, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The supervisory agency of the virtual region of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings based on a series of publications on the Ukrainian website of the Center for Investigative Journalism about employees of the TV company Crimea-24. The fact that a television company with that name does not exist does not bother investigators.
They identified personally those who create and distribute materials with appeals and propaganda of military actions: the head of the Crimea TV channel Vadim Pervykh, the general producer and adviser to the head of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov, the editor-in-chief of the Crimea 24 TV channel Darina Safonova, as well as correspondents Margarita Semenyuk, Dmitry Koksharov, Yuri Avdeev.
According to CJR, all of them, with the exception of the Russian woman Semenyuk, who came to Crimea from Ugra, are citizens of Ukraine. Apparently, the fake prosecutor's office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea does not know about the official statement of renunciation of Ukrainian citizenship, which is necessary for employment at the state television and radio channel.
There they are now engaged in linguistic examination of the content created and distributed by the Crimea TV and Radio Company and its media projects in new territories of the Russian Federation. Based on the results of the examination, the issue of initiating a criminal case will be decided.

Let us remind you that the Minister of Information, Communications and Internal Policy of Crimea Vladimir Tregub will be tried in Ukraine for collaboration activities. For disseminating the ideas of the Russian World among Crimeans, Tregub faces up to 10 years in prison.
