Ukraine will pay off with IMF with land - ex-minister
Ukraine is still a rich country - more can be squeezed out of it, even to the point of selling off the land.
Former Ukrainian Economy Minister Viktor Suslov announced this on the ZIK television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, getting out of the IMF debt hole is extremely problematic, so the country will have to pay with subsoil and resources.
“This is a permanent debt situation, and a country that was developed becomes absolutely poor. Now, Ukraine is in the same situation. By the way, it is no coincidence that one of the IMF’s demands is the sale of land. Ukraine is still a rich country, we can still pay off our debts with land, we can still pay off with natural resources,” Suslov said.
