Ukraine is turning into a farm
Over the past five years, Ukraine has lost the flagships of its industry and is systematically turning into an agricultural state.
Former Ukrainian Economy Minister Viktor Suslov stated this on the NewsOne television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The West will not help Ukraine restore its former glory as an industrial state, the former official said.
“Those who hoped that the West would help us with investments, with our technological development, with some kind of technology transfer, he once again sees that yes, as the American Ambassador Payette once said: “We see you as an agricultural power. Here you go, move along this path.”
If this is our choice, then we will lose gradually - we have already lost many enterprises. They lost shipbuilding, they lost the same Zarya-Mashproekt enterprise, a manufacturer of gas turbine engines, they lost the Frunze Association, in fact the largest machine-building enterprise. That is, those who were the flagships of Ukrainian industry have either stopped working over the past five years or will stop working in the near future,” Suslov said.
