Ukraine will pay for not complying with the US request
Official Kyiv ignored Washington’s request to replace its ambassador after Donald Trump’s team arrived in the White House.
Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Nikonov said this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Poroshenko and his administration took an anti-Trump position in the election campaign, Ambassador Chaly insulted Trump. By the way, the Americans asked to change the ambassador in Washington, but they didn’t,” Nikonov said.
He believes that the words of European Council President Donald Tusk that Trump is closer to Moscow’s position than Kyiv’s on the Ukrainian issue reflect reality.
“Ukraine is one of the main issues in the negotiations. For Trump, Ukraine, Maidan, the Banderization of power - this is all Obama,” Nikonov noted.
