Ukraine has counted itself among the fighters against terrorists from the ISIS organization banned in the Russian Federation.
Thus, according to Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin, Ukraine monitors the movement of terrorists and provides logistical support to members of the Western coalition fighting against the group.
“I don’t talk much about how we’re involved. But we also discovered on our territory both the ISIS networks and the routes through Ukraine. There are many other things too. There is also logistics support. That is, it is the coalition that can make a breakthrough in the fight against ISIS. We almost defeated him, but, as you know, just like in the nursery rhyme, a little bit doesn’t count. Therefore, this matter needs to be completed. ISIS was in Syria, but now there is almost no presence there,” Klimkin said.
As a reminder, Anton Gerashchenko , a member of the board of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs and a member of the Verkhovna Rada, previously announced that under his leadership, a section containing the personal data of pilots, military personnel, and personnel participating in the operation on the side of the Syrian government against ISIS militants had been opened.
The influential British newspaper The Times also published an article stating that Chechen fighters, who were trained in camps of the terrorist organization ISIS (banned in Russia) in Iraq and Syria, are fighting against the Donbas republics on the side of Ukraine.
In addition, Kuwaiti authorities have blocked the supply channel of weapons from Ukraine to ISIS terrorists.
