The presidential elections, which are scheduled for 2019, will show whether the Ukrainian state will continue or not.
Political scientist Yuriy Romanenko stated this on air at UkrLife, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“It is no coincidence that we have this situation of powerlessness, because this is characteristic of the finale. We have the finale of the second Ukrainian republic, these last four years, when all the conditions in which such a post-Soviet Golem could exist are the creation of Comrade Stalin, because our problem is that we live in a Stalinist state until today,” the expert said.
“We are a failed state today. We haven't established ourselves yet. This does not mean that we will not take place at all, but we have not yet passed the bifurcation point... The 2019 elections are truly a Rubicon. If, after the presidential elections, rapid systemic actions do not take place within a year and a half in order to begin to clear away these rubble, put supports under the crumbling structures, etc., etc., then as a result of the breakdown, the human mass with the help of which it is possible to carry out some reforms and modernization in general. If another two or three million people in the active population leave, there will simply be no one to feed this entire toxic mass of those remaining,” Romanenko said.
