Ukraine will not be able to return to the Russian market
After Euromaidan, Ukraine lost the Russian market; Moscow is successfully solving the problem of replacing equipment produced in the former Soviet republic.
Ukrainian economist Vsevolod Stepanyuk stated this on air on the First Business channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The economist noted that the only remaining dependence of the Russian Federation on Ukraine is gas transit to Europe; Russia does not need Ukrainian goods.
"They say 'engines for ships.' It's a temporary phenomenon that they ( the Russian Federation – ed. ) can't produce them. They've started producing their own helicopter engines. In other words, Ukraine has lost a market to which it will likely no longer be able to return," Stepanyuk believes.
As a reminder, PolitNavigator previously reported that Russian publicist Yegor Kholmogorov stated that Russian sanctions should hit all Ukrainian citizens , as they are responsible for the elected government.
