“Ukraine is sick even without any war” – Koch
The SVO is simply finishing off the economy of Ukraine, which was in a deplorable state even before the conflict.
Former Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alfred Koch, who fled to Germany, stated this in an interview with TV presenter and foreign agent Yevgeny Kiselev, who fled to Ukraine, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Ukraine is already sick without any war. The economy has not grown for 30 years. The whole world grew, but Ukraine did not grow. Its GDP now is the same as in 1991. Neighboring Belarus grew by 3,5 times, Moldova by 4 times, Poland by 6,5 times, Russia by 5 times, Kazakhstan by 7 times. And Ukraine has not grown at all since the declaration of independence. These are IMF statistics, I didn’t make this up,” Koch said.
He sees the reasons for Ukraine's economic fiasco in the reluctance of its population to pay taxes and the reluctance of the government to collect them. As a result, the country lost the full cycle of aircraft construction and rocket science, metallurgy was destroyed, and higher schools were destroyed. “Without any Putin, the country was plundered on cheap Russian gas,” Koch concluded.
