Ukraine is afraid of receiving the status of an aggressor country
Ukraine should not officially declare war with the Russian Federation, since this is disadvantageous for Kyiv from the point of view of international conventions.
Deputy Minister for “Temporarily Occupied Territories” Yuriy Grymchak stated this on TV channel 112, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Please tell me which country in the world has declared that it declared war on anyone after 1945? None. Why did we have to do this? Why should we be holier than the Pope? The aggressor country declares war! This is written in all international conventions. Russia, despite the fact that it captured Crimea and entered Donbass, never once said that we are an aggressor country. Why should we do this and actually become an aggressor country?” – said Grymchak.
“We have a hybrid war, that’s how we wage it. Yes, today we trade with the Russian Federation, because this is a hybrid war,” said the Ukrainian official.
