Kyiv, September 16 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Ukrainian diplomat, ex-Consul General of Ukraine in Istanbul Bogdan Yaremenko believes that the adoption of laws on amnesty and special status for the Donbass by the Verkhovna Rada.

“Today’s amnesty laws and the special status of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions open a Pandora’s box in Ukrainian society. For many of us, Ukraine in this form makes no sense. This means that the fight against this decision will be uncompromising,” Yaremenko wrote on his page

“There is a special cynicism in the attempt to accept them under the informational cover of ratification of the Association Agreement,” says the head of the Maidan of Foreign Affairs.

As PolitNavigator reported, today the Verkhovna Rada at a closed meeting adopted the laws proposed by Petro Poroshenko on amnesty and on granting Donetsk and Lugansk “special status” for 3 years, which implies the formation of its own authorities, police, and judicial authorities in the territories occupied by the militia , prosecutor's office.
