Until the end of the month, the non-working week regime will be extended in the Russian Federation due to the threat of the coronavirus epidemic.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this during his address to the people.
According to the Russian head of state, the previously announced non-working week allowed for time to mobilize resources.
He also added that “the threat remains, the peak of the epidemic has not been passed.”
“Extend the non-working days regime until the end of the month, until April 30 inclusive. With the same salary,” the president said.
At the same time, he clarified that regional authorities will receive additional powers, within the framework of which they themselves will decide which regime is introduced.
Putin also admitted that the situation in Moscow has not yet been reversed - the epidemic is not abating.
The president also added that if the situation allows, the period of declared non-working days will be adjusted towards reduction.
