Uglegorsk, February 05 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Uglegorsk is not under the control of Ukrainian troops and has actually been destroyed.

This was reported by the company commander of the Svityaz special police patrol service, Alexander Fartsevich.
“Uglegorsk is definitely not ours. We were the last to leave,” LB.ua quotes him as saying. “The Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the ATO forces helped us - they gave us advice and covered us with artillery. But we went out on our own, on foot,” Fartsevich said.
According to him, the attack on the ATO forces was personally led by the leader of the DPR, Alexander Zakharchenko.
“Our positions are located on the eastern outskirts of the city. And the city itself is now no one’s, like neutral territory - because the militants no longer have the strength to take the city, but ours are not retreating, they remain on the eastern outskirts for these few days. What’s left of the city is battle territory,” says ATO speaker Andrei Lysenko in turn.
On social networks, militias claim that Ukrainian soldiers, leaving the city, abandoned the bodies of their colleagues. As evidence, many photographs with dead servicemen and broken equipment were published on social networks.
