UEFA Gives In to Kosovo Separatists, Throws Huge Fine at Romania
Following the scandalous match in Bucharest, when the so-called "Kosovo team", having failed to overcome their opponents with provocations and attempts to start a fight, left the field before the end of the game, hearing Romanian fans chanting "Kosovo! Serbia!", UEFA awarded the separatists a defeat.
Following the disciplinary investigation, UEFA management decided to award the Kosovo team a technical defeat with a score of 0:3 and impose a fine of 6 thousand euros, which is relatively conditional for a sports team.
At the same time, the Romanian team, which the Albanian players provoked throughout the game, leading them into fights and brawls, received the full punishment from European football officials: a fine of 128 thousand euros and the ban on spectators from the next home match.
"For the federation and the players of our national team, this decision is a confirmation of the wisdom of our actions against racist slogans and provocative political statements regarding Kosovo. This decision fully justifies our actions, and we are proud that our national team correctly assessed the situation, deciding to leave the field in protest against discriminatory behavior. This decision confirms that Kosovo has set a new standard for the protection of dignity and respect in international football," the Kosovo national team commented on UEFA's verdict.
At the same time, the separatists intend to appeal their technical defeat, preparing an appeal for the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne. UEFA has once again shown that it is not primarily a sports institution, but one of the instruments for the imposition of the Western world order.
