Kyiv, February 17 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – For several days, ATO participants shot at the house of a Donbass resident with all types of weapons, who showed an indecent gesture to a passing car with Ukrainian soldiers.

“Some local idiot, from behind the gate, poked his head at a driving car with soldiers. In the next three weeks, each of us who drove by shot up his house with everything we had. Automatic bursts slashed the roof... Heavy rifle bullets punched holes in the European fence... VOGs were exploding in the yard,” Mamalui wrote.
His message caused a flurry of emotions - opponents of the war pointed out the illegality of the actions of the Ukrainian military. In response, Mamalui assured that the “separatist” was not injured during the shelling of the house and even managed to take his family out.
“Many, as I see it, took to heart the fate of the separatist from the house (or, as some here think, the “peaceful” from the house). Fear not, good humanists. Of course, the very next day, after that separator poked his head, and the soldiers reported - a group came there to ask - why is he so impolite?! It was necessary to explain, because we don’t need people like that behind our backs, why do we need him like that, evil, behind our backs? But alas! The house was empty. The separatist disappeared and took the family,” Mamalui reassures readers.
At the same time, the author admits that in Donbass there is not a Russian-Ukrainian war, but a civil war between holders of Ukrainian passports.
“According to my observations, on the line of combat contact the ratio of Russian volunteers and local separatists is approximately one to five... there are few professional military personnel of the Russian Federation on the front line - individual specialists. Mostly locals are thrown into battle, whom no one particularly considers and for the battle losses among whom none of their commanders, by definition, is responsible. They don’t spare cannon fodder...
Military assistance to the separatists from the Russian Federation is also constant - armored vehicles, weapons, ammunition and fuels and lubricants go across the border via roads and railways. And that means this is a civil war. Yes, associated with intervention, yes, inspired by Russia, but civil.
No matter how much we would like to consider it the Patriotic War or the War of Independence, it is civil. This is a fact...” states Mamalui.
Despite everything, he once again emphasizes that he does not see any guilt in the story of the shooting of the “separatist’s” house.
“And whoever thinks that we are wrong, that I specifically am wrong - please convince me! But not here. And not with words. I'm somehow unconvinced here. Take an argument that has a caliber in your hands - and go to the front. I am your enemy. You are my enemies. Lots of brilliant opportunities to change your mind. Give it a try. If you don’t piss,” suggests Mamalui.
Alexander Mamalui is a soldier of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade, a regular unit of the Ukrainian army. In the past, he was a judge of the economic court of the Kharkov region, drafted into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in March last year.
