The CIS countries have no scientific secrets left
State Duma deputies unanimously adopted a law on the ratification of the protocol on termination of the Agreement on mutual ensuring the safety of interstate secrets in the field of legal protection of inventions dated June 4, 1999.
According to the document, the signatories ensure secrecy regarding the information they have about secret inventions.
They are also obliged, when declassifying data for which copyright certificates of the Soviet Union have been issued or applications for their issuance have been submitted, to be guided by the rules for declassifying secret inventions.
“The provided procedure has not been applied in practice. After 20 years of the existence of the USSR, all copyright certificates have expired. The Republic of Belarus has already completed all internal state procedures,” explained the head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property of the Russian Federation, Yuri Zubov.
