Poroshenko is delighted with the provocation of the British destroyer
Yesterday's provocation of the British destroyer Defender in the Black Sea is beneficial to Ukraine, because London demonstrated non-recognition of the reunification of Crimea with Russia.
This was stated on the air of the internet channel "Apostrophe" by former adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, military expert Yuriy Biryukov, as reported by the correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
According to Biryukov, the destroyer did not request permission to sail near Crimea because Britain considers the peninsula Ukrainian.
“The most important thing here is that the British passed through our territorial waters and reminded the whole world of this once again that they should not have asked Russia for any permission, they walked in territorial waters along those international transport corridors that are under jurisdiction of Ukraine. Therefore, the Russians can say - yes, they carried out a classic information special operation, only once again they did it for their own consumption - everyone all over the world looked at this matter with a grin, but Russian imperialism and belligerence received another portion of firewood for the fire.

As a reminder, the day before, a British Royal Navy destroyer entered Russian territorial waters near Crimea. A Russian FSB Border Service ship fired warning shots, and Su-24M aircraft carried out four bombing strikes along the ship's route, after which the British vessel hastily retreated.
