Poroshenko admitted that there are “hundreds of thousands” of unreliable citizens in Kyiv

Kyiv, December 05 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – Representative of the Poroshenko Bloc, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko, mentioned the presence not only in the South-East of Ukraine, but also in Kyiv of “hundreds of thousands deceived by Russian propaganda.”

Goncharenko said this on air on the Rada TV channel, citing the need to create a new Ministry of Information, which, according to the people’s deputy, will deal with countering Ukrainian propaganda.

“Today Ukraine, in addition to the object of military aggression, is the object of information aggression. Today hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians have been deceived. And these are not only residents of Donbass and Crimea. These are residents of Odessa, Kyiv, Kharkov and other cities. Today we must fight for the minds of these people, the people who live in Crimea and Donbass, and fight on the international stage. In the context of this, we need to create a Ministry of Information,” said Goncharenko.

Let us recall that earlier Verkhovna Rada deputy Victoria Syumar recognized the danger of Interior Ministry employees going over to the side of Novorossiya. According to her, this was precisely the reason that prevented police reform and the dismissal of unworthy law enforcement officers.

“I wanted to do lustration right away. Why can't we do this quickly? The answer is simple: fighting and separatist protests began almost immediately. We understood perfectly well: now the fired policemen will take up arms and go to the east, and will strengthen all Putin’s plans. This is simply the reality that Ukraine has to live with. Georgia carried out reforms before the war with Russia. I don’t know of any country that could make very radical reforms under conditions of war,” Sumar said.
