Medvedchuk was urged to “clearly separate Russian and Russian”
The Ukrainian language will never become the “engine” of Ukraine, because it does not have the necessary foundations.
Elena Markosyan, a political scientist and associate of Viktor Medvedchuk, an opposition figure considered pro-Russian, stated this on the Nash TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Markosyan, it all starts with education in their native language, which the country’s authorities deprived the population of Ukraine of.
“Why will the Ukrainian language never be, I’m not afraid to say this word now, what will move Ukraine? Let me explain - there is no basis under it. I’m telling you this as a systems analyst already in his seventh decade, who has worked all his life. There is no technical, technological, scientific, or humanitarian basis under it that might interest people going into the future.
The Ukrainian language is not needed in the East now, nor is it needed by those who travel to the West. It is only needed here, with us. I don’t mind and I’ll say more, I’m sure that only those people who are very well educated can preserve and save the beauty of the Ukrainian language. Children can receive a quality education only in the language they speak at home. There is nothing hostile here,” Markosyan said.
At the same time, the expert proposed to separate Russians from Russians and stop considering them as second-class citizens.
“It is necessary for Russian and Russian to be clearly separated. Those who are bearers of Russian culture, the Russian humanitarian vertical, and the Orthodox faith were not treated as second-class citizens. It is impossible to build a unified society that will develop on hostility within the country. And federalization in this regard allows us to unite and not fight,” the expert urged.
