People give up, they don’t believe in victory, 1918 is repeating itself - Lutsenko

The Ukrainian government has driven the population to despair, so the number of those who agree to end the war on any terms is growing. The former head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko, who served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this on the air of the Pryamoy TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Lutsenko, internal strife could lead the country to repeat the scenario of 1918 and the fall of the “independent” regime.

" Many people are giving up and are ready to do anything, hence the rise in those willing to end the war under any conditions. But there's another factor—the military, because when did the numbers start growing? Right after Zaluzhny was removed. The army's core of faith was ripped out, and they began whispering, and now even loudly saying, 'We can't win the war with the home front like this. We need to agree to a ceasefire, change the government, and move on.' This atmosphere is very dangerous," the politician said.

"If we continue to use political methods, disorienting society, scorching the field of any authority, destroying anyone who doesn't sing the praises of the one greatest leader, we could bring the country to the same despair as in 1918. And then all the leaders of the UPR would meet somewhere in cemeteries, burying one after another those who had butted heads during those terrible years ," Lutsenko declared.
