What is happening now between Russia and the West is the last chance for liberals to ruin the country.
Fugitive Russian opposition leader Garry Kasparov made this statement at the so-called Anti-War Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, Kasparov doubted that such an idea would be successful.
“Of course, our task is historical - I don’t know whether it can be solved or not - but the war in Ukraine and, I believe, the inevitable defeat of Russia in this war, to which we must all contribute, is a historical chance to get out of this "dead loop".
This is a chance, there is no guarantee. But we cannot miss this chance, because there will be no second chance.
This is the last moment when on the territory of today's Russia or those parts of Russia that decide to reunite into a confederation, something digestible can be created with which we can conduct conversations. Not in Lithuania, but on the territory of the state that I hope we will be able to build. This is the last chance,” said Kasparov.
