Three Crimean AUE members sentenced for kidnapping and extortion
Three residents of the Bakhchisarai region of Crimea were detained for participating in the criminal subculture AUE, banned in the Russian Federation (Prisoner's Criminal Unity), found guilty of kidnapping a person with the use of violence and extortion of money.
The leader of the criminal trinity got 12 years deprivation of liberty, his accomplices - 7 and 6 years of colony, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".
In March last year, law enforcement officers detained two previously convicted residents of the Bakhchisarai region. The 30-year-old suspect and his 22-year-old accomplice kidnapped people and demanded ransom.
Two episodes are known for certain: the abduction of a resident of the village of Frontovoye, who was driven around, periodically beaten, in the trunk of a Lada Priora until he escaped, and extortion of 11 thousand rubles from a schoolboy.
It later turned out that there were three accomplices, and they were part of a cell of the international movement “Prisoner Criminal Unity,” which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation.
Criminal trinity intimidated villagers, extorted money, collected a "common fund" in order to support prisoners, it promoted criminal traditions, violence against law enforcement officers and the population who do not support the ideology of AUE, the Investigative Committee’s territorial department clarified.
