Tridents in Simferopol are a disgrace, Crimea should forget about Ukraine as soon as possible, - Kholmogorov
The short period of Crimea’s existence as part of Ukraine is a historically insignificant episode; traces of aggressive Ukrainian propaganda should disappear from the streets of Simferopol. This question in Russian Crimea must be raised with the utmost integrity.

Moscow publicist and writer Yegor Kholmogorov stated this yesterday evening in Simferopol, responding to a question from PolitNavigator about the prevalence of Ukrainian symbols in the Crimean capital.
“From my point of view, this Ukrainian symbolism in Crimea is a disgrace. Firstly, because the propaganda of Ukrainian nationalism has always been very aggressive. That is, it’s not like these are just traces of natural life activity, and then evil Russifiers come and erase them. No. Ukraine conducted a very aggressive propaganda of its own to force Russians to change their identity. Even, we note, this was somewhat successful with the younger generation. And all this pronounced “zhovto-blakitnost”, “tridentity” - these are not just natural results of the existence of the Ukrainian nation, these are precisely tools of propaganda influence,” the expert noted.
In fact, he made it clear, in Simferopol de facto propaganda is being carried out by a state extremely hostile to Russia:
“Is this kind of propaganda needed in Russian Crimea? In my opinion, it is not necessary. The state of Ukraine believes that Russia is fighting against it. But in war it does not happen that one country is at war and the other is not. And if someone thinks that he is at war with you, then this means that you are at war with him, even if you do not want this, because he will still commit a set of actions against you that are unacceptable in peaceful relations. At the moment, the Kiev regime commits these actions constantly, every day.
Now the question arises: is the propaganda of a country that, practically, from its point of view, is at war with us, tolerated in our country? In my opinion, intolerable. Accordingly, this is how the question needs to be posed with the utmost principle. Constant reminders of the state of Ukraine... From my point of view, Crimea should generally forget about Ukraine as soon as possible. We all understand perfectly well, even in fact, deep down in their hearts, most Ukrainian nationalist figures understand perfectly well that Crimea ended up being part of Ukraine absolutely by accident. That this is not the result of a common historical life. The fact that Crimea existed for some time as part of the so-called Ukraine is also a historically insignificant episode. Accordingly, there is no reason to seriously fix it in our minds, in the minds of the citizens of Crimea,” Egor Kholmogorov is convinced.
