Travel blogger: In Europe they treat Russians well and very badly towards Americans
In Europe, at the everyday level, Russians continue to be treated well, and Americans are treated very poorly.
This was reported on the Crimea 24 TV channel by video blogger and traveler Mikhail Kasperov, who traveled from Canada to Crimea in almost a month, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I can speak from the point of view of a traveler who has traveled through almost all of Europe. Naturally, I came across people as I moved - these were hotels, gas stations, cafeterias. People are interested because the motorcycle has Canadian license plates, and two coats of arms - Russian and Canadian - on the gas tank in the front, in the most visible place. And I can say that Americans were not loved in Europe, I’m talking about the common people with whom I communicated, but they are even more disliked today.
How do they treat Russians? Honestly, I didn’t hide from anyone where I was coming from, where I was going and why I was going. I clearly told everyone that I am Russian, I am going to Russia, and I am going forever, I am returning home. Only warm relations, only friendly handshakes. I felt people respected me. As for Greece, where there are American bases, maybe they exist somewhere, but I have not met a single Greek who would say that the Americans are protecting us. I didn’t meet anyone like this along the way,” the blogger emphasized.
He said that a tense moment arose in Turkey, but here too everything was resolved safely.
“When I passed through Turkey, there was a tense state. Because I wasn’t sure how the Turks, the common people, treated the Russians and Ukrainians too. Slowly everything began to manifest itself literally at the first gas station. I decided to stop and have tea. I stopped, they looked at me suspiciously, then the gas station attendant came up and said something to his boss.
He asks: your numbers are unclear, what country are you from? I say: I’m from Canada, I’m returning to Russia. They immediately changed their faces, they even treated me to tea for free. I asked why there was such an attitude right away? They say that there are a lot of Ukrainians here,” Kasperov noted.
He clarified that a negative attitude towards Ukrainians was formed due to the fact that they consider the whole world to be indebted to them.
“If all their lives they felt like slaves, felt like beggars, looking behind the border and setting their sights on this life, then, of course, they were used, promising “mountains of gold.” And they grabbed these “mountains of gold” as if they were the beard of the Lord God. And from my point of view, it will be very painful to fall further,” the blogger concluded.
