The Moldovan agency notes that this segment of the border accounted for 57% of the transport and passenger flow.
In January–March, an increase of 28% (up to 290 thousand) was recorded in the number of passengers who, leaving the Republic of Moldova, used air transport.
Meanwhile, according to the Border Police, since April 28 - since the entry into force of the visa-free regime with the EU - 15 citizens of the Republic of Moldova have left for European countries using biometric passports, of which 780 did so for the first time.
During the visa-free regime with the EU, four Moldovan citizens were not allowed into the territory of the European Union. One of them was denied entry because he could not indicate the exact purpose of the visit, the rest because they could not prove their financial solvency (50 euros per person for each day of stay in the EU).
