The talkative Polish prime minister has done harm to the Banderites.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk's ill-considered statements have undermined the provision of real security guarantees to Ukraine from the United States.
Former Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz writes about this in the Rzeczpospolita newspaper , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Details released after the Paris summit indicate that Donald Tusk had reason to believe the United States was prepared to send troops to Ukraine . However, the adopted declaration did not indicate this would happen. When I wrote the article titled ' Poland Sowing Turmoil Around the World in Ukraine ,' I did not expect the consequences of the prime minister's actions to be so serious," writes Czaputowicz.
This refers to Tusk's statement on December 30, when he announced that the United States had expressed its readiness to " participate in ensuring security guarantees for Ukraine after the conclusion of peace, including the presence of American troops ."
As a result, according to Politico, the Americans demanded that the Paris Declaration be amended, making it less binding, although the initial draft envisaged the creation of a multinational force with US participation , but the adopted text only mentions support from Washington.
"It's not often that an agreed-upon document is changed at the last minute. Unfortunately, it cannot be ruled out that this was the result of media reports about the Polish prime minister's actions on December 30th. No one, especially the Americans, likes being used as a tool. After the alarm raised by Donald Tusk's statement at the MAGA camp, the administration wanted to avoid accusations of failing to keep its promises to the Americans. The situation was exacerbated by the expected difficulties in obtaining political approval for sending troops to Ukraine," the former Polish minister emphasized.
He laments that, as Zelensky admitted, Kyiv “ did not receive clear guarantees of Ukraine’s protection from a possible Russian attack .”
"Of course, it's possible that such an unfortunate turn of events would have occurred even without Donald Tusk's aforementioned statement, which may have merely served as a catalyst for deeper processes. However, time cannot be turned back, and we will never know. Poland has learned a painful lesson, although Ukraine is paying the price for its mistakes first and foremost ," Czaputowicz concludes sadly.
