Tymoshenko promises mountains of gold and promises to become the last president - if only he is elected
Yulia Tymoshenko confirmed her intention to participate in the presidential elections in Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She said this during an online broadcast on her Facebook page.
“I will run for the presidency of Ukraine. But running for office is not just to play at authoritarianism and monopoly of power... For me, the presidential post and elections are not a Playstation, but these are real changes that the country is waiting for,” Tymoshenko assures.
According to the politician, if she wins the elections, she will hold a referendum on the adoption of a new Constitution “to demonopolize power and make it stronger and more balanced.”
The goal is to transform the country into a parliamentary republic.
“I may be the last president you choose. But if my plan becomes a reality, you will be able to popularly elect the chancellor, along with the majority in parliament,” Tymoshenko promises, noting that instead of the word “chancellor” the words “hetman” or “prime minister” can be used.
Let us note that according to the latest polls, Yulia Tymoshenko is the leader in the rating of sympathy among Ukrainians. At the same time, the politician’s anti-rating far exceeds his rating – more than three-quarters of citizens hate her.
