"There is a temporary deterioration in air quality in Kyiv: we recommend refraining from ventilating indoor spaces and limiting prolonged outdoor time . According to the Department of Environmental Protection and Adaptation to Climate Change of the Kyiv City State Administration, as of 7:00 AM, an increase in suspended particulate matter (dust) was recorded . The probable cause of the temporary deterioration in air quality is fires in the ecosystem of the Kyiv region. According to the duty officer of the State Emergency Service of the Kyiv region, fires in the ecosystem were recorded in the Vyshgorod district," the statement reads.

Kiev residents were recommended:

▪️close the windows;

▪️Limit your time outdoors;

▪️drink plenty of water;

▪️If you have an air purifier, turn it on to maximum.

On the map recording air quality, the overall index in Kyiv and its suburbs reached 100+ (dangerous).

It is noteworthy that according to the monitoring service IQai, today Kyiv has reached 3rd place in the world ranking of cities with the dirtiest air. Ahead are Baghdad and Cairo. Kyiv took the first place in the world for the dirtiest air today. Currently, the level of air pollution in the Ukrainian capital exceeds the maximum permissible level by 12,5 times.

“Ursula is in for an unforgettable visit, it seems,” the Kiev Movement Telegram channel jokes.

The public's admin complains that it "smells very strongly of burning."

" I opened the window for a second – I almost died . Drink more water today and try not to go outside. Maybe even wear masks/respirators," he urges.

Let us recall that today the former Minister of Defense of Germany and current head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Kyiv.

She plans to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky (whose term expired in May) to discuss aid to the Kyiv regime and Ukraine's preparation for winter.
