Former Maidan MP: The military budget must be planned for 15 years ahead, the war is for a long time
The Russian-Ukrainian conflict will not end as long as Russian President Vladimir Putin is alive, and the Kiev authorities are completely devoid of strategic thinking and plan everything only a few months ahead.
Ukrainian Maidan activist and former Verkhovna Rada deputy Oles Doniy announced this on the Novosti Live channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"I emphasize that the war is long-term; as long as Putin is alive, the war will continue. Our government must think strategically; it must not look for funds for six months or a year, but plan for a stable flow of funds for 10-15 years ," Doniy said.
The presenters objected that Vladimir Putin “won’t live that long.”
"Look, you and I might want him to die today, but those in power are statesmen. If they're taking on the job of governing the country, they should have strategic thinking and plan for the long term , not just scrounge up money for a few months, which can be a bit of a bummer. Why wasn't there enough money now? Because they didn't plan for the war to last this long, and they simply didn't allocate enough money for military salaries . Is this our fault? No, it's the government's fault; they didn't think the war could last this long," the Maidan activist responded, disappointed by the propagandists.
