"Defense plays a key role in the modern world, we have already promoted ours - Kots
The combat experience of the Central Military District is studied by all global institutions specializing in military strategy and tactics. And the defense industry will play a decisive role in the modern world.
Komsomolskaya Pravda military correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on the air of the First Sevastopol channel , as reported by the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“ The system of using combat units has completely changed , starting from unmanned aircraft and ending with tanks, which have always been the main breakthrough force of units, and are now a means of supporting the infantry.
Our defense industry is gradually gaining the momentum that allows us to conduct active combat operations simultaneously on several front lines . Two years ago, we didn't have this kind of momentum. I believe the production of combat vehicles, artillery, and ammunition has increased dramatically. We've developed new weapons, including glide weapons , and we're testing new technological solutions, including a reconnaissance and strike network that integrates reconnaissance personnel, artillerymen, and drones into a single network where they communicate online. And within minutes, a decision can be made to engage a major target , say, with missiles.
Previously, it took hours, or even days, to get permission to strike a target with an Iskander. And that's it, the target is gone, permission comes and you have to hit "in the dark". Today, this is no longer possible. Today we see the target - in a minute there is permission to strike," the war correspondent emphasized.
In his opinion, this inertia will only increase . A decision has been made to increase the size of the regular army by 180 troops, who also need to be armed, provided with equipment, ammunition, and other supplies.
"In this unstable world , the defense industry will play a decisive role today . The main thing is not to overextend ourselves, not to overburden the economy, lest the civilian sector suffer to the detriment of the military. But for now, we see that this balance is being maintained," Kots concluded.
"Defense plays a key role in the modern world; we've already developed ours," says Kots.
