Terrorist Sentsov was given practical advice
The decision to pardon the Ukrainian terrorist Oleg Sentsov, who is serving a sentence in a Russian colony, can only be made by the President of the Russian Federation, but for this it is necessary that Sentsov personally ask for it.
This was reported by Ridus , citing a response from the Russian Presidential Administration to Oleg Sentsov’s mother, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
It is noted that Sentsov’s mother asked for a pardon from the acting governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, where the terrorist is serving his sentence in Colony No. 8 “Polar Bear” in the city of Labytnangi.

“In accordance with the Regulations on the procedure for considering applications for clemency in the Russian Federation... the pardon procedure begins with a personal petition for clemency from the convicted person, who addresses the President of the Russian Federation in writing through the administration of the correctional institution where he is serving his sentence,” the response says.
Let us remind you that Oleg Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years in prison for preparing terrorist acts, which he planned to commit on May 9, 2014 in the center of Simferopol. On May 14 this year, he went on an indefinite hunger strike. Ukrainian propaganda presents the terrorist as a “political prisoner” and demands his release.
