Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional Administration Yevhen Rishchuk, following the head of the regional state administration, Andriy Gordeyev, submitted a letter of resignation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Rishchuk himself announced this on Facebook.
“As everyone knows, on Friday the Head of the Regional State Administration Gordeev A.A. wrote a letter of resignation. My step is the same. I came to the Regional State Administration at the invitation of Andrei Gordeev and am leaving with him. It seems to me (many will laugh) that this is exactly how it should be,” the official wrote.
According to him, he worked as deputy head of the Regional State Administration for “three fruitful years” and did a lot “in the region and for the region.”
“Do I regret that I exchanged my comfortable life for a job at the Regional State Administration? No. I gained gray hair and the respect of many people in the region,” wrote Rishchuk.
He added that he will continue to “work for the people, only in the role of a deputy of the regional council.”
Let us remind you that in the Kherson region Vladimir Zelensky won in the first round, gaining more than 40% of the votes. Petro Poroshenko received only fourth place, five times behind Zelensky.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, a similar situation developed in the Odessa region, where Zelensky also won with a result of more than 40%. However, the local governor, Maxim Stepanov, refused to leave his post, calling his dismissal illegal.
