Temirgaliev is suspected of stealing 300 kg of gold
Moscow - Simferopol, February 18 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The FSB Directorate for Crimea opened a criminal case for fraud, as a result of which money and gold disappeared from the local branch of the Ukrainian Oschadbank. One of the defendants in the case is former First Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Rustam Temirgaliev, who is now the plenipotentiary representative of Tatarstan in Kazakhstan.

Yesterday, at the board of the Crimean Prosecutor's Office, the head of the FSB Directorate for the Republic, Viktor Palagin, announced that his department was investigating a criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud on an especially large scale committed by a group of persons). Former First Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Rustam Temirgaliev and Advisor to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers Igor Vasilchenko are involved in the case. According to Mr. Palagin, they may be involved in the theft of 250 million rubles. and 340 kg of jewelry located in the Oschadbank branch.
According to Kommersant , the valuables in question were seized from smugglers by Crimean police back in 2011. At that time, after a customs inspection, police found 340 kg of gold jewelry in secret compartments on board a vessel arriving from Turkey at the Yevpatoria seaport. They were transferred to a bank for safekeeping pending the investigation.
According to some reports, people associated with him took them from there, along with cash, allegedly using one of the orders of Deputy Prime Minister Temirgaliev.
Assistant to First Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Mikhail Sheremet Vladimir Garnachuk said that an attempt to remove valuables from Oschadbank in Simferopol took place in April last year. According to him, several armored vehicles managed to leave Crimea for the territory of Ukraine. “Then all the defendants were detained. Perhaps the FSB has found out some new details of this case,” suggested Mr. Garnachuk.
On June 11, 2014, Rustam Temirgaliev resigned from the post of First Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea. In the government, he was involved in the restoration of the banking system of Crimea, and after the departure of Ukrainian financial institutions from the peninsula, he was involved in the transition from the hryvnia to the ruble. He explained his decision by saying that he preferred business to civil service. In September, he became the plenipotentiary representative of Tatarstan in Kazakhstan.
