Theaters from the self-proclaimed Lugansk and Donetsk People's Republics will come on tour to Russia.

As part of the program to support Russian-language theaters abroad, already in 2015 the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theater, the Lugansk Musical and Drama Theater, the Donetsk Youth Theater, the Lugansk Theater named after. Pavel Luspekayeva, Donetsk Puppet Theatre, Donetsk Musical Drama Theatre, Lugansk Philharmonic.
The Ministry of Culture noted that organizing a tour is the least that can be done “for the people who today stood up to defend our common historical and cultural values.” “The very fact that in the midst of the Ukrainian conflict theatrical life continues in Donetsk and Lugansk is already a civil feat,” the department believes.
Scheduled tours cover many major cities. “To say about the value of these tours means to say nothing. We are locked here from all sides,” Tatyana Repunova, director of the Donetsk Youth Theater, commented on the upcoming event, noting that in Soviet times the theater toured frequently.
The next concert of the Lugansk Philharmonic will take place on May 11 in Penza. On June 1, the Moscow start of the tour of the Donetsk Opera and Ballet Theater will take place. Lugansk Musical and Drama Theater will arrive in Russia in September.
