According to Timofeev, changes of this kind should make the NGO “Oplot of Donbass” an even more effective and strong organization.
“In connection with the expansion of areas of responsibility and new initiatives of the “Oplot of Donbass”, as well as to strengthen the unity and raise the morale of the organization, A.Yu. Timofeev proposed holding elections for the chairman of the board of “Oplot Donbass” within a month on an alternative basis, with discussion in all structural divisions of the organization and voting at the next conference. For this purpose, A.Yu. Timofeev resigned as chairman of the board,” the official group wrote.
Let us note that the elections of the head of the organization will take place in July 2018.
In this regard, Alexander Timofeev proposed choosing an acting chairman of the board of the "Oplot of Donbass" board member Mikhail Gennadievich Tikhonov, deputy of the National Assembly of the DPR, head of the Donetsk Higher Combined Arms Command School of the DPR Armed Forces.
“Oplot of Donbass” is a large public organization, one of the main goals of which is the development and support of various social and civil initiatives. In addition, “Oplot of Donbass” is actively involved in the military-patriotic education of youth, supports the families of DPR military personnel and provides ample opportunities for the comprehensive development of the younger generation.
