Heat tariffs have already increased 5,5 times after Euromaidan - and this is not the limit
After the victory of Euromaidan, heat tariffs in Ukraine increased by 5,5 times. Prices will continue to rise. Energy market expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“Three years ago, I predicted what our “movement to Europe” would lead to: heat tariffs increased by 5,5 times, electricity tariffs by 2,5 times. But this is not the end, because while an increase in electricity tariffs can still be predicted, an increase in gas tariffs is not predicted.
The resolution adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers at the end of April established a new pricing formula, and its second paragraph suggests the possibility of changing tariffs depending on market conditions. We are talking primarily about the price of gas at the NCG hub and the stability of the national currency. That is, in the event of devaluation and an increase in gas prices in Europe, the Cabinet of Ministers has the right to revise tariffs,” says the expert.
Let us recall that Russia, shortly before Euromaidan, offered Ukraine preferential terms for gas supplies, as well as multi-billion dollar loans and investments in the economy. These proposals were subsequently rejected by the participants in the Ukrainian coup d'etat.
